Kristiansand is a highly respected bridge club. There have been many players achieving remarkable results representing Kristiansand. The Mæsel brothers have ben winning medals since the 1970s, they are qualified to play in the coming Senior Bowl.
Marianne Homme have represented Norway many times, winning the Nordic in 2009 was a moment to remember in her career .
Kristiansand even lined-up two teams for the Norwegian premier league a few years ago. I could name quite a few players on the highest Level, I hope you get to meet some of them during the Nordic Championship 2019.
As you all understand, Kristiansand is proud and strong, but we also have a solid growth with a lot of players at all levels of the game. You do have the chance to play bridge at all levels when you visit our beautiful town.
I do hope you get to see more than bridge players during your stay. Go for a walk on the beachpromenade. Go for the 15 min walk to the old fire post, where you can enjoy the beautiful view over the city, it will do good as a break from sitting around the bridgetable.
An evening visit to the sky bar at the neighbor hotel can be a thrill, or just go for a great meal at the nice restaurants at the fishers marked by the seaside.
